Float helped crystalize the vision for the first bank driven research and strategy app for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

RBS Global Market Research creates a mass of information. But for it to be of real value, their clients need to get precisely the data they require at exactly the moment they need it.

The Float answer? A Blackberry Playbook app with a built-in algorithm that offers immediate access to the most relevant research and strategic opinion- whenever, wherever.

The app's functionality works in RBS's favour too. Usage information is fed back to them via a favouriting tool, enabling RBS to continually refine the content they provide. Over time, the app (and RBS) will become an increasingly important source of information for their clients.

We designed the app, the first of its kind on the Playbook, within seven weeks. But not without thorough research into its users and their digital habits  - feedback from more than 1000 prospective users fed into the app's design. 

Beyond the practical benefits of the app to RBS and its clients, this being the first app of its kind on the Playbook sharpens the RBS brand's technological edge.
